Also, in 2013, when the sets of TV show "Comedy Nights with Kapil" had caught fire, the crew had rescued four stray puppies from there.<br /><br />A believer in encouraging people to adopt homeless dogs from shelters and streets, Kapil says it's a cause close to his heart.<br /><br />"Always choose to adopt your companion cat or dog. Remember that there is already one on the street or at an animal shelter waiting for his or her chance for a better life," he said in a statement.<br /><br />A group of 10 representatives of PETA went to the set of the show to applaud Kapil's compassion towards animals.<br /><br />Sachin Bangera, PETA India manager (media and celebrity projects), who spoke to Kapil during the episode to be aired Sunday, told IANS: "When celebrities talk about issues, people tend to listen to them. Celebrities from the world of entertainment have a whole lot of impact on people and they give a boost to campaigns, and especially issues related to animals."</div>
